The glaciers are gone; the weather is perpetually cloudy and misty, a storm may take shape without notice, or worse the malestrom returns unseasonably. The local names of the region translate to "Woven Wall" and "Sacred Wall". To you it sound slike Brinemarch.
World history diverges from our timeline, but this age resembles an Iron Age empire with caravels and building colonial outposts as able. Such an empire has built a castle on an island and uses the natural harbor as a base to explore and exploit the Antarctic interior. The empire placed its banner on the shore to claim dominion and called it New Sanctuary City. They wrestle for resources and land, and their reckless activities disturb ancient powers.
